Users are individuals who have access to Personnel Checks/TaxiPlus. There are different permissions that Users can have, whether they are administrators, ID Verifiers, or in charge of the payments on the account.


All Users have:

Username - a unique username to the individual

First Name - the User's first name

Surname - the User's surname

Email Address - the email address linked to the User (this has to be unique to the User)

Roles/Permissions - the permissions that a User has

Segments - the Segments the User is assigned to (if applicable)

State - Whether the User is Active or Inactive

Notifications - Whether the User has subscribed to any notifications

MFA - Multi-factor Authentication

Adding a User

To add a new User:

  • Navigate to https://app.personnelchecks.co.uk/users
  • Click the “add user” button
  • Give a Username, and enter the first and last name, and email address
  • Assign the relevant roles to give them the required permissions
  • Assign to the correct Segments if this entitlement is on the Customer account
  • Save and edit
  • Press “Set to Active” to activate the User. This sends the activation email to the User who can then set their password and log in

They can change their settings by clicking the three dots next to their name once logged in (including dark mode!) or going to https://app.personnelchecks.co.uk/profile


Editing a User

To edit a pre-existing User:


Activating/Inactivating a User

To set a User to Active/Inactive, navigate to the Edit page on the relevant User, then press the “Set to Active/Inactive” button.


Locked Users

If a User has entered their credentials incorrectly five times, they will be locked out of their account.

An Administrator can rectify this on the Edit page, much like activating a User.


Configuring Notifications

Admins can configure the notifications other Users receive, To do this, navigate to the Edit User screen, and toggle “Enable Notifications”

From here you can select which notifications the User receives by email.


Resetting a User Password

To reset a User's Password:

Find the User on https://app.personnelchecks.co.uk/users and click “View” Click “Reset Password” The User will then receive an email to reset their password.

Alternatively they can navigate to https://app.personnelchecks.co.uk/auth/password-reset to reset their password themselves.


Multi-Factor Authentication

Users can enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on their accounts by:


It is possible for Admins to remove MFA on the User edit screen.
